Safeguarding Our Children

We hold the safeguarding and well-being of our pupils as a priority. Please see our policies and documents below. You can visit  https://hcypsp.haltonsafeguarding.co.uk/ for further safeguarding information.

The school’s designated person for Safeguarding and Child Protection is Mrs J Hidden, and the deputy designated persons are Miss H Melarangi and Miss A Sheady.

Our school is also part of a project, which is run between Halton Borough Council schools and Cheshire Police. This project (called Operation Encompass) has been designed to provide early reporting of any domestic violence incidents that occur outside school, which might have an impact on a child in school. This is done through a phone call to our school’s Key Adult (Mrs J Hidden). This began on 4th January 2016.

Online safety – The internet often plays a huge part in many young people’s daily activities; allowing them to communicate freely with others and share information with ease via messaging apps, social media and gaming networks. Please click here for guides and advice on the latest apps, games and social media sites.

Please see below Parental Guidance for parents who want to know about how to keep their children safe on different games consoles and Apple products.

Our school use CPOMS for recording and monitoring purposes. CPOMS is a secure, intuitive system which helps to ensure that children are safe and fully supported.
